Last year we introduced the inaugural All-Star Club and honored guests that stayed with us more than 30 nights over the season. For the 2018 All-Star Club, we’d like to recognize three families that spent the most number of nights with at the Lodge. We know it isn’t always easy to travel with the family, but we hope the experience at the Lodge makes it worth your time!

Drumroll Please:

Congratulations to the Richmans, the Ferens, and the Somovs.

The Richman family has been coming to the lodge for fifteen years, and they show no sign of slowing down. Pete will often travel to the Lodge solo in between shifts as an ER doctor, and we’ve loved watching his family grow over the years. You can learn more about the Richman family in Pete’s feature post from a few years ago proclaiming Alta as “the happiest place on earth.”

Yuri Somov is another one of our longtime guests. We featured Yuri in a blog post as one of our first guest features in 2014 where Yuri explained what it was like to be an “almost resident” at the Lodge. In 2014, Yuri shared a few tips for staying at Goldmienr’s, one of which was the recent shift in the importance of booking in advance. For a few years, Yuri thought he would benefit from staying in SLC and exploring more of the Wasatch, but quickly realized Alta and Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge was the place to be.

Last, but certainly not least is the Feren family. The Ferens are long-time visitors to Alta and who decided Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge was their Alta home after hearing about the Stormchaser program offered at the Lodge. The Ferens love staying slopeside because they are able to hear snow being cleared in the morning, which means it snowed overnight. This family of four is a family of rippers. We love watching the littles ski through powder as deep as they are tall. They won’t share their secret, but we think it is all about speed.

As always, we appreciate each and every night our guests choose to spend with us. We’d be honored to host you and your family this season at Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge. You never know, you may also fall in love and be inducted into the All-Star Club next summer.
